The European Union could “respond swiftly and decisively” in response to what it deems “unjustified” travel bans issued by the United States on five European individuals involved in fighting digital hatred and misinformation, an EU official has said.

European Leaders Condemn US Action as ‘Coercion’

European leaders including the French president accused Washington of “bullying and threats”, following the travel bans were placed on figures that were at the heart of efforts to enact legislation governing US-based technology firms.
